A primer on successful grad student rotations

On a flight to Hong Kong over the weekend, I got to thinking about PhD rotations and how many things no one told me when I started graduate school. So I put together an essay on how to successfully navigate the very challenging first months of a PhD program. It is geared towards students in the programs I train at UW-Madison but likely will generalize to students in other PhD programs that are organized similarly. You can read it here.
